After the successful sale of her businesses, Laurie shifted into banking, where she developed a national reputation for her expertise in collateral risk management and regulatory compliance. She went on to lead two national appraisal firms and currently serves as Vice President of Compliance for MyAMC, LLC, a Dallas-based valuation services company.

Laurie is a founding member of the National Association of Appraisers (NAA), where she now serves as Association Manager and chairs the Government Affairs Committee. She is a frequent contributor to national policy conversations, representing the profession in legislative hearings, federal rulemaking sessions, and industry roundtables. Laurie also serves as Chair of the Oregon Appraiser Certification and Licensure Board.
